Electromagnetic flow meters KARAT-551 are designed for continuous measurement of the flow rate and volume of electrically conductive non-explosive liquids flowing through the pipeline.
Electromagnetic flowmeters KARAT-551 are used for commercial and technological accounting of the flow and volume of liquids in thermal points, thermal stations, housing and communal services and industrial facilities, information and measuring systems, commercial heat metering units in round-the-clock operation.
The principle of operation of the flow meter is based on the phenomenon of inducing EMF in a conductor (working fluid) moving in a magnetic field.
The principle of operation of the flow meter is based on an electromagnetic measurement method, in which an electromotive force (EMF) proportional to the flow velocity occurs in the flow of a liquid flowing through a magnetic field induced by a system of electromagnets.
The value of the induced EMF is removed using electrodes, amplified and fed to the ADC, where it is converted into a code proportional to the velocity (flow rate) of the measured liquid. The output signals of the flow meter are converted by a microprocessor.
Flowmeters are produced in several design versions, differing in the diameters of the conditional passage, overall, installation dimensions and are available in flanged design (DN 20-150) and "sandwich" (DN 20-50).
